The TEDC's 2014 Mid-Year Conference will be held at the beautiful San Luis Resort in Galveston, Texas.  The two and one-half day event will feature numerous general and breakout sessions on economic development topics and trends, two Peer Group Roundtables, an award luncheon and networking reception.  The conference will kick-off Wednesday morning with a golf tournament and will conclude on Friday with the TEDC's board of director's meeting.   Please visit the Galveston CVB for more information on local attractions. 

The TEDC's 2015 Mid-Year Conference is recognized by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) as a professional development training that counts toward the recertification for Certified Economic Developers (CEcD).

Overnight Accommodations:

The TEDC's discounted room block rate at the San Luis Resort is currently $179.00/night+tax. There are limited number of rooms available in the TEDC's room block. The room block rate will expire on May 8th, 2015.  Book your room early in order to receive the TEDC's discounted block rate. The rate cannot be guaranteed once the room block is full and/or after the block expiration date.

Award Luncheon:

The 2015 Workforce Excellence nominees and recipients will be honored at the TEDC Award Luncheon on Thursday, June 4th, along with the 2014 Economic Excellence Recognition recipients.

The Award Luncheon is included in your conference registration.  Additional luncheon only tickets are $40/per person.  Contact the TEDC office at 512-480-8432 to purchase a luncheon-only ticket.

Registration and Payment Policy:  All registrations are to be made online.  Registrations will not be accepted by mail, email, telephone or fax.  Payments in advance are encouraged, unless specified to be paid prior to the event.  Invoices are required to be paid within 30 days following the event.  Payments may be made in the form of check or online via credit card.  Purchase orders will not be accepted as a form of payment.

Cancellation, Refund and No-Show Policy:  All cancellations must be received in writing via email to TEDC staff at tedcinfo@texasedc.org.  Cancellations received in writing on or before May 26, 2015, and which payment has been received, will be refunded via check following the event.  There will be no refunds for cancellations received after May 26, 2015.  A registered attendee who does not submit a written cancellation or attend the event, is considered a No-Show and is not eligible for a refund.  A registered attendee who does not submit a written notice of cancellation or attend the event is still responsible for the registration fee.
