Bonham Means Business… Updated Demographics & Community Profile

Organization:
Bonham EDC (BEDCO)

Bonham Means Business…With this headline BEDCO rolled-out their updated ‘Community Profile’ on their www.bonhambedco.com homepage.

Staff has been working for some weeks behind the scenes to provide local images, narrative copy and data to their consultant in preparation for this new and engaging aspect to BEDCO’s website.

BEDCO Executive Director Steve Filipowicz said, “the site is geared toward commercial brokers and developers as well as entrepreneurs and industrialists looking to grow or expand their businesses.” He went on to say “the data presented showcases Bonham-Fannin County data in order to vividly illustrate the true strength of our market area”

Filipowicz previously worked with this consultant – Greg Reuel of City Demographics, and GCR Marketing. “I found them to be very responsive and affordable. This entire effort including creative development, music licensing, and first year’s maintenance charge was under $1,200 and within BEDCO budget.”

City Demographics is an online service that presents community demographic information using engaging animated graphs and charts. The program uses the newest features of html5 design so that a wide variety of internet users can access the data including Safari, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Fire Fox users. According to Greg Reuel creator of the program, “Of the twenty sites using our demographics web application, Bonham is the first to incorporate background music to their demographics application.”  The program is easily updated and will be a great tool for BEDCO to use in business recruitment activities.

“The background music application took some doing and I really commend Greg and his creative team for doing this within our limited budget. It greatly adds to the overall impact of the site and will become the standard for other cities & communities to emulate,” observed Filipowicz . He went on to thank the staffs of the VANTHCS/SRMVC (Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans’ Center), Clayton Homes, the Fannin County Appraisal District and others for their cooperation in providing data and strong positive images for use on the newly enhanced profile.

You are encouraged to move your cursor over the various bar graphs and pie-charts to see specific data points and percentages as you view the site.

BEDCO invites you to continue to keep your eyes open for other positive ‘signs of the times’ both on-line and across our community in the weeks and months ahead.
