Become A Member

TEDC membership is open to anyone with an interest in economic development.  Most of our members are professional economic developers, community volunteers, or elected officials.  A growing number represent local workforce development boards and some of our members work in fields related to economic development -- utilities, real estate, banking, education, engineering, and consulting.

With two types of membership available, joining the TEDC is an excellent value.   Active membership is $350 per year and is for professionals who work full-time in economic developoment, or a related field.  Volunteer memberships are $100 per year and are for community volunteers or officials who are elected or appointed to serve within economic development organizations, or have an interest in the field.

Three Great Reasons to Join the TEDC:

One - IDEAS

TEDC Members have numerous opportunities to learn from and network with industry leaders and experts--not to mention their colleagues from across the state.  The TEDC regularly hosts education and training seminars on a wide range of cutting-edge topics.  The TEDC also sponsors two annual awards programs that recognize innovation and results in the economic development field.

Two - INFORMATION

The TEDC is y our one-stop shop for economic development information.  The "Member Center" of our website is a gateway to a wealth of information, including legislative updates, bill analyses, statewide economic development news, and job postings.  Members also have access to a comprehensive online resource library and receive an annual directory of the TEDC membership.

Three - INFLUENCE

The TEDC is the voice of the economic development profession at the Texas Capitol.  As a TEDC Member, you will have the opportunity to shape public policy and will be kept informed of important public policy developments and issues.  Before the start of each legislative session, the TEDC develops a legislative agenda that captures the needs and priorities of our membership.  The TEDC Political Action Committee (PAC) provides economic developers with a direct opportunity to financially support candidates that are committed to job creation and strengthening the Texas business climate.
